Father reads bedtime stories via video

Wednesday, October 26, 2011
This video shows that even if a father is away from home, he can still have the love and attention of a toddler, just as long as he knows how to record himself on video.

Watch the reaction that this two-year-old girl has to watching her daddy read her a good night story on television.

The video was pre-recorded as he was away from home with the military. We are sure he was happy with the response mum recorded.

This is a fantastic thing for the toddler and father both. I will be overseas with the military next year and my daughter is only 3, so this will be something that we will be doing too. Skype also works, especially if you copy some of your childs favourite books to e-books so that they have the hard copy and can follow along with you. Good on the father for making the effort!
Old news with the story reading via video - my husband did this for our son when he went away for six months on a tour (also defence family) that was almost 12 years ago.
