In the first interview since giving birth, Beyoncé revealed that she believes her daughter will be "just like any other kid" and that Jay-Z will not only be an "inspirational father" but will be doing his share of nappy changes.
The multi-award winning songstress told Star UK magazine that husband Jay-Z was right by her side during labour. "He would not have missed it for anything," Beyoncé gushed.
"He is a very protective and loyal guy by nature. He is a very protective husband, and since we found out I was pregnant I have seen the protective father in him... He is not only an inspirational artist, he is an inspirational husband. I know the next step on his journey is going to be being an inspirational father."
When questioned if Jay-Z will be changing nappies, Beyoncé said, "Of course he will. He is going to be a very hands-on father. He has already said publicly that providing isn't love. Love is being there. Love is doing the little things for your child."

There is no doubt that a newborn will affect each parent differently. Bonding, for many mothers is instant. "Nothing can describe the feeling," Beyoncé said. "You have the instant connection once you know your child is growing inside you, but when you hold it for the first time, the words can't be found."
Meanwhile proud father Jay-Z was busy recording the track 'Glory', an ode to his baby daughter that features the newborn cooing just two days after her birth. The song charted on Billboard's top 100 R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, making Blue Ivy Carter the youngest person ever to chart in Billboard history.

But both the new parents agreed on the level of safety needed when it came to security at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York where Blue Ivy was born. Beyoncé defended the accusations that her tight security had blocked parents from visiting their newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit.
"Security was very tight, but not just for the sake of it," she said. "It was for the security of our daughter."
With this level of fame and security, will Blue Ivy have a normal childhood? Beyoncé has stated that she thinks so. Even after reportedly receiving gifts valued at $1.5 million to adorn her three identical nurseries, according to Beyoncé Blue Ivy Carter will be just a normal kid.
